International speaker, award-winning author and innovative educator Natalie Hale is passionate about providing educators with practical tools to open the world of reading to children and adults with developmental delays.
Teaching reading to children with DS, ASD, PDD-NOS, nonverbal and older non-readers.
Sight word learning, phonemic awareness, error less testing techniques, Fast Flash, comprehension tips.
Hands on coaching for creating personal books and modifying trade books.
These strategies can be implemented in the classroom the very next day!

Natalie Hale is an award-winning author, innovative educator and parent of an adult son with Down syndrome. For over 20 years she has traveled nationally and internationally to speak on the topic of teaching reading to learners with Down syndrome, autism, and other developmental delays. In 2000 she founded the publishing company, Special Reads for Special Needs, to provide parents and educators bi-lingual reading books and materials specifically designed for learners with developmental delays. Natalie is passionate about providing educators with practical tools to open the world of reading to children and adults with developmental delays.
